20 waffles
Ingredients
- 100 g unsalted butter
- 200 g all purpose flour
- 150 g golden brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Method
- in a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until creamy, beat in the vanilla extract and egg
- sieve the flour, salt and baking powder and add gradually into the bowl, stir well
- make a sausage and leave this overnight in the fridge before baking
- preheat your waffle iron depending on your brand
- place small mounds of the mixture in the waffle iron for 2-3 mins
- remove to a wire rack to cool
