Apple sauce

4 jars


  • 2 kg cooking-appels chopped and peeled
  • 200 ml water
  • lemon juice
  • sugar


  1. combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan, save the sugar for later
  2. bring the mixture to a boil over a medium heat
  3. then simmer covered, stirring frequently, for 15-20 mins, or until smooth
  4. use 1 tbsp sugar for each jar

Tips, Tricks and inspiration

  • can be transfered to sterilised, clean, dry jars
  • store this on a dark and cool shel and enjoy when needed
