Ingredients
- 160 g unsalted butter, room temperature
- 200 g all purpose flour
- 15 g vanille flavoured sugar
- 200 g sugar
- 10 g baking powder
- 4 eggs
Method
- heat oven to 180°C or 325°F
- butter the base and sides of a cake tin and line with baking parchment
- put all the ingredients in a bowl
- beat with a stand mixer for 10 mins
- spoon into the tin and lightly smooth with the back of the spoon
- bake for 45-50 mins
- it's ready when the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean
- allow to cool for 5 mins before turning out
